It was indeed a challenging experience to complete the process for the International Dimensions in School Award Programme. We had an early start with the IDS by including the activities in our academic planning at the beginning of the year. The activities were planned as part of our curriculum and we worked on them simultaneously as we progressed through the academic year. IDS objectives intrigued the students’ interests and instilled curiosity in them. Both students and teachers showed enthusiasm and engagement with the plethora of activities and as a result received a fruitful exposure to the numerous challenges that were present. The teachers imbued the activities in such a way that it opened new avenues to explore other countries' diversified cultures and other pursuits. The entire journey has given a new perspective in preparing young global citizens for value-oriented experiential learning unlike that of the traditional methods.
