About the School

Mr. A N Joseph lived in Chennai, who worked in the Railway Department Govt. of India. One day he visited Padi, he saw the children were playing and grazing the cattles, who were at the age of school children. Seeing this Mr. A N Joseph enquired the villagers, why the children were playing and grazing the cattles, without going to school. The villagers answered that there was no school in our village. After hearing this Mr. A.N Joseph worried about the situation of the village. So he decided to do social service to the village. On 8th august 1955 Mr.N. Ramakrishnan Iyer MLA inaugurated national primary school with 8 children.
